A blaze at a town centre nightclub is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.
Firefighters were called to Bar EST in Railway Road, Leigh, at 6.30am on Friday, following reports of a fire at the rear entrance.
The flames caused extensive damage to the back room of the nightclub.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews were at the scene for two hours and used a positive pressure fan to clear the smoke.”
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police added: “We are satisfied that the cause of the fire was not deliberate and are no longer investigating the incident.”
