Not a dry eye as inspiring teacher wins top award
Tears were shed as Sarah Chadwick was named winner of the Inspirational Teacher prize at this year's Wigan Education Awards.
She was nominated by her pupils Holly and Alexander at Aspull Church Primary School who said: “She makes us feel special by just being her; she inspires us to have a ‘can do’ attitude. She is a very understanding and respectful person; she is a great role model and always listens to what we have to say.”
An emotional Miss Chadwick said: “It’s the best job to be in and as much an honour to teach at the school as to receive this award.”
