Before we know it we’ll be setting our resolutions and be well on our way into a New Year and a fresh start, but in the meantime why not treat yourself to some Christmas treats?

If you’ve not already guessed we’re going to make flapjacks! These are our favourite and definitely delicious and sweet enough to fight those pesky cravings. Pre-heat your oven to 140 or gas mark 3 and we’re ready to get going!

Heat the butter, peanut butter and honey in a small pan until it’s melted. Add the mashed up banana, apple and 100ml of water and give it a good stir. Chuck the oats, dried fruit and nuts as well as the seeds into a large bowl then pour in the mixture from the pan. Stir everything up until all the oats are all coated and grab yourself a cake tin. Tip the mixture into the cake tin and smooth it out until it’s even, and put in the oven. These will take around 55 minutes to bake (they need to be a nice golden brown colour). Once they’re cooked take them out of the oven and leave to cool. Cut the flapjack into pieces and dig in!

Feel free to chuck in fruits you’d prefer if you’re not too keen on almonds and raisins!
