The Martin Mere Column - A great year

IN a year that saw WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre celebrate it’s 40th anniversary, over 185,000 people have enjoyed visiting us in 2015.

Centre Manager, Nick Brooks, said: ”We have had so many new experiences in our 40th year at Martin Mere; with a puddle jumping competition, nature explorers passport, the arrival of giant LEGO brick animals, the phantom raspberry blower and of course the opening of our new Discover hide last month. We have a lot of new events and developments planned for 2016, it is going to be a really exciting time for everyone. We would like to wish everyone who enjoys reading this column a very happy Christmas, thank you for your continued support and we will look forward to seeing you again in 2016”.

Christmas is a great time to visit Martin Mere and this year is no exception with 1500 Whooper swans to watch, our family of otters and 10 GIANT LEGO brick animals on display. Start your New Year with a resolution to get closer to nature at Martin Mere.
