VERNON Kay is enjoying a festive season on TV.
Home For The Holidays culminates tonight on Channel Four in which a couple bring their families under one roof in a stately home in Uxbridge to compete in a series of challenges to win a prize.
Speaking of he show he added; “It was nice to be back on Channel 4 and be live.
“The studio was amazing — it looked like an alpine ski lodge.”
And now the former St John Rigby pupil will host All Star Family Fortunes Christmas Special tomorrow, on ITV, at 7pm.
The show features the stars of The Only Way Is Essex battling against the Benidorm cast.
Vernon admitted that he was surprised by just how thick some of the stars actually were, particularly Joey Essex.
He said: “I am in no way dissing him, but that boy needs to learn a bit of common sense.”
With Vernon finishing his show on Christmas Eve and wife Tess Daly having completed Strictly, the couple are now planning a quiet festive period.
He told The Sun: “Christmas and New Year are going to be hopefully sitting on a sofa then going out to see friends and their kids and hopefully just chilling.
“On Christmas Day I do all the accompaniments so I am doing the carrots and the veg and spuds then Tess will do the turkey and the drinks and the starters. She makes a mean prawn cocktail.
“As I am working in the run-up to Christmas, I have thankfully done all of my Christmas shopping.”
