A SICK Wigan paedophile has admitted repeatedly breaching a wide-ranging sexual offences prevention order – just three months after it was imposed.

Depraved Simon McDonald, 32, admitted both making and possessing indecent images of young children – some classed in the extreme Level 4 category – before Wigan Magistrates’ Court.

Each of the offences – seven in total – were committed between February 3-18.

McDonald, of Douglas Court, Wigan Lane, who has a previous conviction for unlawful sex with a girl under 16, was remanded in custody prior to a sentencing hearing before Liverpool Crown Court next month.

He had previously been handed an eight-month jail term – suspended for two years – in November after police discovered 25 indecent images and video clips of children in his possession. That conviction was secured after police went to his home on September 28 and then spotted him walking up the road looking at his mobile phone.

McDonald was arrested and his phone seized. His home was then searched and a number of other mobile phones, sim cards and memory cards were taken.

Among the indecent images discovered in McDonald’s possession on that occasion was one of a newborn baby and one involving the abuse of a naked girl aged about seven.

Appearing before Liverpool Crown Court in November, Judge John Roberts placed him under supervision for three years, ordered him to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years and imposed an order to restrict his internet use.

McDonald is due to be sentenced on the fresh charges before Liverpool Crown Court on March 16.
