Parbold man donates large chocolate egg to children at Rainbow House in Mawdesley

Some of the children were challenged to help break up the egg, which stood at more than two feet tall, which helped their co-ordination and movement skills.

Ben Blackman, chief executive at Rainbow House, said: “We have never seen such an enormous egg – it was really stunning and an ideal way for us to include, not just the children who attend conductive education and other services, but their families too.

“Our main aim is to support children and young people with a variety of neurological and physical conditions and help them to achieve far more than thought possible but we also look to involve the family in all that we do – sharing this egg will be a sweet treat for everyone.

“We were delighted Nick and his daughter Penelope were able to join us when we broke the egg and we thank them for their generosity.”
