Artists at the heart of Haigh Hall's rebirth to give a talk to Wigan Civic Trust

The artists Al and Al will be the guest speakers at the latest members meeting of Wigan Civid Trust at The Deanery High School, Frog Lane, on Monday October 17 at 7.30pm.

They are the artistic directors who are hoping to transform the fortunes of Haigh Hall, not least by establishing an exhibition of the works of local artist Theodore Major.

They will be talking about Haigh’s “Three Hs”: humanities, horticulture and hospitality and share tgheir conversations with the public in the vestibule of the stately home and how people’s passion for the place is inspiring a new era.

Organisers say the talk will be a celebration of Haigh Hall’s magnificent 800-year history and a discussion of the restoration work being undetaken in the new year.
