Become part of the story with new children's Christmas book
Alison Orlandi, from Standish, has written The Christmas Penguin Party, which tells the story of a magical island where a group of Rockhopper penguins throw a festive celebration for the main character, personalised to the child reading it.
The book can be individually altered with the buyer able to change hair style, ethnicity and gender, including gender-neutral options. Customers can also change the penguin’s names to make family and friends part of the story.

The book was aimed at helping Annabelle understand just how wonderful and special she is.
Alison said she wanted her books to help children build up their self-worth especially during these diffcult times.
She said: “I want all children to understand how amazing they are.

“We intentionally made the book so it can be adapted as much as as possible, because we want children to be able to see themselves when they open up the book and for the messages to speak directly to them.
“It is a priority for us that all children are represented.”
Alison worked with her brother-in-law, Chris Pike, to establish Annabee’s Books.
