McDonald's customers in Wigan left amused at cheeky handwritten note on food

McDonald’s customers in Wigan were left amused at a handwritten note that was left on the label of a food order.

Customer Kelsey Maher received the order, which came from McDonald’s on Gower Street, Newtown.

The label on the order reads: “Only barbieqoo. Add unyen.”

Sharing a photo of it in the Wigan Food Reviews Facebook group, Kelsey said the note had “made her day”.

She said: “The staff are doing these labels as a joke to make themselves and others laugh before anyone else takes offence to a joke.

“Gower Street Maccies have made my day with this”.

A staff member commented on the post saying he wrote the label after the sticker machine broke, in an attempt to make people laugh.

Tagging a friend he said: “Told you it would make people laugh hahahahahaha.”

The staff member was then asked whether he wrote the post, adding: “Yeah hahahahaha glad it made people laugh but I got told to stop eventually.”

The post received a big reaction on social media with more than 550 likes and 236 comments.

One woman wrote: “Love it. That’s something I would do for a laugh.”

Another wrote:”Just saw this and was giggling to myself.”

A man said: “Great surname, love unyen.”

Another added: "Dear lord and they do say Maccies take anyone.”
