Police appeal for information again after Wigan bike tragedy

Kyle was riding his orange KTM 200 EXC off-road bike in Ince on the August Bank Holiday Sunday shortly before 4.40pm when he collided with a tree.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Warrington Road close to the junction with Dale Street.

Kyle was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

However, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he sadly died on Sunday September 13.

This week Kyle's mum Lindsey paid emotional tribute to him, describing him as "the life and soul of the party".

And today (Friday) police launched a fresh appeal asking anyone who knows what happened on the day of the horror crash to come forward.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the collision but enquiries remain ongoing.

Sergeant Darren Hancock, of Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "My thoughts go to the young man's family and friends who are absolutely devastated after this tragic loss.

"Our job as to ascertaining the circumstances behind this incident continue and we are again appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who were travelling in the area at the time of the incident to come forward with information.

"Also, anyone with dash cam footage from around the area at the time of incident is of particular interest to our investigation and we plead with them to make contact so we can ensure the victim's family get the answers they need."
