Storyteller and puppet show as artisan market proves a real family event

A winter artisan market for all the family is to be held in Billinge on Saturday November 19.

Bispham Methodist Church is hosting the event at its Crank Road church hall from 10.30am to 3pm and organisers are promising to provide fun for both young and old.

There will be a wide range of artisan stalls at the hall, selling early Christmas gifts and local food, including cheeses.

Coverdale Puppets, which specialises in Biblical tales re-enacted for children in a fun and exciting way, will be hosting shows at 10.30am and 1.30pm and the celebrated children’s author and illustrator Sean Perkins will stage a storytelling and song time session at 12.30pm.

Sean will also be bringing along the stars of his books, Oscar and Ben.

Inbetween the shows children can enjoy various craft activities that will be laid on.

Light lunches and other refreshments will be served on the day.
