Wigan musician will entertain once more in online show

John Anderton is planning his second show online for members and prospective members of Wigan U3A, also known as the Third Age Trust.

John Hempstock, from Wigan U3A, said: “John performed a great set from his home studio a few weeks ago and it went down really well, with a rousing singalong at the end.

“We had people in the audience from as far afield as Italy and Australia, where we have people who are in lockdown in those places.

“He’ll be performing a different set of around 35 minutes, including many of his own songs and a couple of well-known covers.”

The show will start at 3pm on Wednesday, May 27 and will be available for everyone to watch online.

Wigan U3A is a small group, having formed only a couple of years ago, and is popular with people approaching retirement and maybe working part-time, or who have retired and want to stay active physically and mentally, pursuing existing interests and hobbies or discovering new ones.
