Wigan Pride launched in 2015. The family friendly event aims to celebrate equality and encourage everyone to accept difference and embrace diversity.

Dan said: “We wanted the event to go ahead this year in some form as recent events across the world have proved that sadly there’s still so much inequality to be addressed.

“It felt like a more important time than ever to promote our values of kindness and acceptance.”

The event will be presented by host Vic Cook and will feature acts including musician and Pride favourite, Josh Robinson, North West singer songwriter, Zha Olu and talents Kieran Gallagher and Kayley Hughes.
