Staff at Marsh Green Primary School, in Wigan, have managed to cheer up not just their own students but hundreds of other people on Facebook, after they shared an uplifting video of them holding specially designed cards for the children.

The video shows teachers, from the comfort of their own homes, holding up messages that say they miss the children and parents, hope they stay safe and well and that it won't be too long until they're all together again.

It ends with an inspiring message that anyone can achieve anything as long as believe it.

Gill Leigh, headteacher, said: "Across Wigan every member of staff from every school is missing their pupils.

"Many staff are also in isolation so at Marsh Green this was our way of all joining together to show our children and their families they are still very much in our thoughts.

"These are strange and difficult times, but if we can spread a little bit of cheer and it helps our community to feel connected then we have helped in our own way."
