Police called to overturned car on Wigan motorway slip road
A "very lucky" motorist has escaped unscathed after their car overturned following a collision on a motorway slip road.
At around 3pm this afternoon North West motorway police were called to reports of an overturned vehicle on the M6 southbound entry slip road at J26 (Orrell) to J25 (Wigan).
On arrival officers found that the car had received extensive damage but the driver had escaped unharmed.
Police later tweeted: "MerPolTraffic have attended the incident with HighwaysNWEST - one very lucky driver - no injuries"
