POLICE are appealing for information after a man exposed himself on a golf course near Wigan.

At around 6.30am on the morning of the May 6, a golfer was on the fifth green at Beacon Park Golf Centre, Dalton, near Parbold, when a man came running out from the bushes with his trousers round his ankles, exposing himself.

He was challenged by the golfer and ran away.

About 45 minutes later, the green keeper was on the fifth tee when he was approached by what is assumed to be the same man, who was also exposing himself with his trousers round his ankles.

On seeing another group of golfers approaching the tee, the man again ran away.

Officers investigating are appealing for information and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.

PC Tony Kerr said: “These are concerning incidents and I would appeal to anybody that has seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area to call police on 101.

“I’d urge anybody that thinks they can assist us with our investigation to get in touch.”

The man has been described as white, in his 40s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of heavy build.

He was wearing a red Adidas jacket which had white stripes down both sleeves. Under the jacket he wore a white hooded jumper and was wearing cargo style trousers.
