POLICE are growing increasingly concerned of the whereabouts of a missing man from Hindley.

63-year-old Peter Mayor was reported missing yesterday, Thursday, November 6, after he did not come home from Wigan.

Peter’s daily routine comprises of catching a train from Hindley to Wigan where he will eat breakfast before going to a local pub. He will then catch a train home just before midday before going to another pub close by.

On this occasion, Peter was seen drinking at the Last Orders pub in Wigan before leaving to catch a train. It is thought he caught the wrong train that was heading to Manchester Victoria.

Peter is described as being white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build and has short grey hair. It is believed he was wearing a grey fleece, jeans, black shoes and a black bobble hat.

Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
