DETECTIVES investigating the death of a man in Wigan are trying to trace potential witnesses.
Michael Warhurst died following an incident in King Street in the early hours of Monday, October 8.
The 60-year-old was pushed over and as he fell backwards onto the roadway his head struck the ground outside Chicago Rock at around 1.30am.
A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of death was due to a head injury.
A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter has been released on bail pending further inquiries until November 19 .
Det Insp Andy Cunliffe said: “We have had a really positive response to previous appeals from members of the public, but I really need to trace the people in these images.
“I want to stress that we are treating them as potential witnesses only but we need to speak to them to establish what, if anything, they saw.
“This was a terrible incident and we need to understand the full facts of what happened so I would urge anyone who recognises themselves in the images or those who can help us identify them to call us.”
