POLICE are asking for an iPad stolen from a 14-year-old girl by an opportunist thief at Wigan bus station to be returned.

At the beginning of November 2013, the girl was sat at Wigan bus station using her friend’s iPad Mini when someone walked past her and snatched it before running off.

Detective Constable Sheena Maerevoet based at Wigan Police Station said: “The girl is unsure of the exact date of when this happened. We believe the item has been sold on and I would ask those who are in possession of the iPad to return it.

“It is described as white with a silver/grey back and has an engraving on the back that says ‘Happy Christmas moo”. This was a present and is obviously sentimental to the victim.

“If you recognise the description of the item or may know someone who has it, I would urge you to contact police.”

Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 7259 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
