Have your say on the future of Wigan play area

The Bexhill Drive site, in Hindley Green, is set to be transferred to Wigan Council this month.

Before this, the council will be undertaking essential checks to ensure the play equipment is safe to use, assess its longevity and carry out maintenance before it can be re-opened.

Long-term options for the site include a traditional play area with public open space and a community nature park with tree planting and wild flowers.

Council chiefs want to hear ideas and views from people living in the area for how the land can be used.

The community engagement period will run until March 1.
