Thousands of homes and businesses in the borough have been hit by a power cut.
Electricity North West said 2,600 properties in Standish were affected by the loss of power supply on Monday.

While electricity to around 1,200 properties was restored within an hour, there were still 1,400 without power late on Monday afternoon.
A spokesman said: “An underground cable fault caused the loss of power to 2,600 customers in Standish, Wigan this afternoon at 12.22pm.
"We restored power to 700 customers in three minutes and a further 500 customers within an hour.
"Our engineers are still on-site and they’re working hard to restore power to the remaining 1,400 customers as soon as possible this evening.
