A mass of protestors gathered outside a Wigan hotel to campaign against refugees being housed in the area.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to Britannia Hotel, in Almond Brook Road, in Standish, shortly before 3pm on Saturday to maintain peace.
A group of around 20 people had met with placards voicing their opposition to asylum seekers in the borough.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We received a called at 2.50pm from Britannia Hotel about a protest against refugees residing at the address.
“Police attended. No arrests were made. They were not directly outside the hotel. There were no offences and it was a peaceful protest.
“It concluded at 4.30pm.”
