POLICE have arrested and bailed a man in connection with a fire at a Wigan pub.
A 23-year-old man was detained on suspicion of arson after the blaze at the Queen’s Arms pub on Walthew Lane in Platt Bridge early on Saturday morning.
The man has been given police bail until September 28 while enquiries into the cause of the fire continue.
Firefighters spent around three hours tackling the blaze, which caused severe heat and fire damage to the bar and extensive smoke damage.
