A BRAVE tot who lost her battle with cancer has been honoured by a Wigan racecourse.

Bosses at Haydock Park have named the 8.45 race tonight (Friday) “The Millie Rose Memorial Maiden Stakes” in memory of three-year-old Millie-Rose Heaton, who died on Wednesday evening from neuroblastoma.

And more than 2,000 people turned out in Skelmersdale on Thursday night to pay tribute to the youngster.

Exactly 24 hours after her death family and friends gathered at The Greenhill to release balloons into the sky.
