RACIST graffiti was sprayed on a Chinese takeaway in Standish.

The first took place sometime between 12pm on Saturday, March 15, and 12pm on Sunday, March 16, at Silver Star on School Lane where someone used a spray paint to spray offensive graffiti.

The second took place a week later where a racist word was spray painted at the back of the building.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Police Constable Steve Waddington said: “The owners of the takeaway are deeply upset by this and do not understand why someone would want to target them twice in a week. I would ask anyone who may have information as to who is responsible to contact police on 0161 856 7124 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
