Robbers strike at KFC

POLICE are hunting two men who robbed Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pemberton.

They jumped over the counter area and demanded the tills were opened just after 11pm on Thursday.

They took a small amount of cash and a mobile phone before leaving. They turned right towards the Orrell area of Wigan.

The first offender is described as white, average build and around 5ft 8in tall. He is described as being in his late 20s. He has a Liverpool accent and was wearing black clothing, gloves and a full face balaclava and he was carrying a screwdriver at the time.

The second offender is described as white, average build, and aged in his late 20s. He was wearing dark clothing, black gloves and a full face balaclava. He also had a Liverpool accent.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses.

Detective Constable Susan O’Connell said: “We are asking anyone who was at KFC at the time or nearby who may have seen the offence take place or the two offenders running away to get in touch with police.”
