THREE men armed with a screwdriver and knife threatened terrified staff as they robbed a shop in Wigan.
The employees were leaving Tesco Express on Whelley, at 11.20pm on Friday February 20, when they were approached by three men wearing balaclavas and forced back into the store.
They threatened them and demanded money before leaving with cash and cigarettes.
One man is described as being white, of large build, in his late 30s, 5ft 9in tall, wore a black tracksuit and gloves.
The two other men were of skinny build, in their late 20s, wore black tracksuits and spoke with Liverpool accents.
Detective Sergeant Nigel Rigby said: “The staff members are understandably upset after they were threatened by these men but thankfully they did not suffer any physical injury.
“I would ask anyone who may have seen these three men acting suspiciously near to the store to contact police. Did you see them walk into the shop or run out after the robbery? If you did, we are keen to hear from you.”
