A WIGAN school has been forced to shut for a deep clean after half-term building work.
Newtown’s St Mark’s Church of England Primary will be closed today (Monday) and Tuesday due to dust caused by building work on the school’s roof over half-term.
The school is carrying out a deep clean and it is planned that it will re-open on Wednesday.
A Wigan Council spokesman said: “St Mark’s CE Primary School in Newtown will be closed today and Tuesday due to dust caused by building work over half-term. It will re-open on Wednesday.”
