The line of the old Beverley sisters hit goes and two Wigan sisters have made history at Wigan College by gaining the same award.

Emily Hill and Lottie McCawley, aged 25 and 23, are proud that since small children, their education has gone hand in hand…

As nippers both went to Newfold Primary School and then progressed to John Rigby College followed by Wigan College.

It was at the college that both studied hairdressing and floral art – and have now received the great news that both have passed their exams with flying colours.

Now on July 11, it will be a cap and gown affair as the two received their certificates at Preston Guild Hall.

The sisters agreed: “It’s been wonderful to have gone through the whole education system, but we never thought we’d be receiving the same certificates on the same day in front of our parents, relatives and friends.”

Emily said: “It is a story of so many coincidences and then finally we chose the same course at Wigan College.

“It would be amazing that when get jobs, we’d be working in the same place.”

The college told the girls that they do not recall sisters ever receiving the same award at the same time.
