POLICE have sent out a warning after a ‘suspicious’ looking man was seen outside a Wigan school.
Parents at St Wilfrid’s primary in Standish reported the individual after seeing him within the school grounds.
There is no suggestion that he made contact with any child before he made off.
However, officers have today sent out a warning about the incidents, with other local schools notified.
A police spokesman said: “On the July 10 between 8.45am and 9am at St Wilfrid’s Primary School in Standish, a suspicious male has been seen by parents on the fields within the school grounds acting suspiciously and then headed in the direction of St Wilfred’s Road.
“The man has been described as a white male, 6ft tall, between 40 and 50 years old with blonde/grey hair wearing a bright blue t-shirt and grey knee length shorts.
“Schools in the area have been informed and there will be increased police presence around the schools. If anyone sees anything suspicious please contact the police on 101.”
