A TEENAGER has undergone emergency facial surgery after his jaw was shattered in a brutal nightclub attack.

Kieron Stazicker was attacked in the toilets of the The Hub on Wigan’s King Street during the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police today appealed for witnesses and any other information about the assault in order that he be brought to justice.

It was shortly after 6.10am that officers received reports that Mr Stazicker had been assaulted while on a night out in the town centre.

Officers, who were called to the club by paramedics tending to the victim, have established that the 19-year-old man victim went in to the toilets of The Hub at around 6am and was assaulted by an unknown offender shortly after.

He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary where it was confirmed that he had suffered a fractured jaw.

He has since undergone an operation to re-wire the broken mandible.

Det Sgt Graham Clare said: “The investigation is still at an early stage and I am very keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about what happened to this poor young man.

“Given that this assault happened in the toilets, there may not have been many witnesses but that is not to say that there aren’t other people who may have information that could be important to this investigation.”
