A TEENAGER was hospitalised after being involved in a collision with a car.

Emergency services were called to Liverpool Road in Platt Bridge just after 3.30pm on Wednesday.

They found the teenager had been involved in a collision with a black Volkswagen travelling towards Platt Bridge.

He was conscious while being treated by paramedics for cuts and possible head injuries and was taken to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital where his injuries were not described as life threatening.

Liverpool Road was closed at its junctions with Neville Street and Church Street, but all roads had reopened by 4.30pm.
