MASKED men terrified members of staff during a robbery on a Wigan mini-market.
The gang of three men burst into the Co-op store on Woodhouse Lane and demanded that all the employees - three women - go into the back of the store with them.
The intruders then made threats to the members of staff and their manager.
After stealing cash, they fled through the front entrance. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the raid at 9.40pm on Sunday December 23. The robbers are described as three men with their faces covered. They were in dark clothing and tracksuit bottoms and one of them had a Merseyside accent.
Det Sgt Graham Clare said: “While nobody was hurt, the victims were left badly shaken up by this robbery.
“We would appeal to anyone who may have seen the offenders leaving the store to call us.
“We have launched a number of enquiries to trace those responsible.”
