A third of adults argue over the heating
The setting on the thermostat is one of the persistent battlegrounds between the sexes, research has shown.
Almost a third of UK adults admit to arguing with partners and housemates over temperature tampering. A quarter of adults adjust the heating without telling anyone, and it is mostly women that admit to doing so because they feel the cold more. The study for Drayton Controls found 44 per cent of those arguing said it was over worries about the cost of putting the heating on. So would you rather wrap up in your entire wardrobe rather than turn the heating on?
