Three people taken to hospital after cars crashed and hit garden wall in Wigan

Emergency services rushed to Gidlow Lane, Beech Hill, at 7.30pm on Monday after the collision between a Mercedes and Toyota Yaris.

Firefighters from Wigan cut the roof off one car to get someone out.

Three ambulances, a rapid-response vehicle and an advanced paramedic also attended to help three people who had been hurt, including one with a leg injury.

The three casualties were taken to Wigan Infirmary by ambulance for treatment.
