Disruption to Wigan train services caused by flooding on the line
Rail travellers this morning faced disruption going to and from Wigan due to flooding on the line.
National Rail says standing water caused by heavy rain created problems on the route between Wallgate and Manchester Victoria on Wednesday.

Passengers were warned trains may be running late due to having to slow down in the difficult conditions or cancelled.
The service returned to normal at around 9am.
