Travel warning if heading to Manchester airport due to motorway accident
Wiganers travelling to Manchester Airport are being warned to leave extra time for their journeys after a a crash on the M56 this morning.
Motorists are facing delays of more than an hour after two lanes heading into the city were closed following an accident close to the airport
Emergency crews are on the scene and there are currently nine miles of tailbacks queuing from junction nine – the Lymm Interchange on the M6.
