TRIBUTES have been paid to a 23-year-old woman who was killed on a notorious roundabout in Leigh on Wednesday.
Charlotte Fox was pronounced dead at the scene when the scooter she was riding came into a collision with a LGV shortly before 7.50am.
Her family today paid tribute to the popular Leigh girl who was keen on sport.
They said: “Charlotte was a much loved daughter, granddaughter, sister and auntie.
“She had recently started work as an assistant manager for Superdrug having recently graduated from the Superdrug management scheme, of which she was very proud.
“Charlotte enjoyed karate and was a black belt 2nd Dan. She also instructed juniors at her club. She enjoyed roller skating with her father and motorcycling.”
Miss Fox suffered multiple injuries following the collision at the roundabout on the junction of Atherleigh Way and Twist Lane.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He is currently being interviewed by collision investigators.
Senior Investigating Officer, Sergeant Lee Westhead said: “My team are now working hard to establish the cause of this tragic collision and the investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with Charlotte’s family at this very sad time, who are being supported by specially trained officers.
“I would now appeal to anyone who saw the collision or has any information to come forward and speak to my officers.”
