Trio charged with drugs offences

THREE Wigan people have been charged with drug offences.

Stephen Downing, 53, of Marsh Green, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, handling stolen goods, two counts of fraud, two counts of deception and six counts of money laundering.

Claire Holmes, 23, also of Marsh Green and Michael Downing, 31, of Canberra Road, were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

All three are due to appear at Wigan Magistrates’ Court on May 27.

On October 30 2012, August 7 2013 and December 13 2013, warrants were executed at homes in the Marsh Green area. In the course of the three warrants cocaine, stolen exercise bikes and £69,000 was seized.
