Group of youths spotted in Wigan flouting coronavirus social distancing rules

The five young people have been pictured walking today (April 17) at Riverside next to the town's Tesco Extra.

The walker, who sent the image into Wigan Today, said: "Obviously it's not getting through to some Wigan people."

Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who himself is recovering from coronavirus, has ordered the public not to meet up with friends and family they do not live with under any circumstances.

People are allowed outside to carry out essential shopping, carry out key work that can't be done inside, tend to those who are ill or go for one hour of exercise a day - all while socially distancing themselves from others.
