Leigh-based science teacher, Addison Brown, who featured in a national Get Into Teaching TV advert which aired on TV back in January, gives us a day-by-day glimpse of what life as a teacher has been like so far during these unusual times.

Today, as children and parents join in celebrations for #ThankATeacher Day, secondary school teacher Addison also shares his thanks to colleagues at Bedford High School and across the country.

In his teaching diary, Addison discusses the challenges and rewards of the job since the coronavirus restrictions, and how teachers are supporting the national effort.

The 27-year-old, who recently became a father for the first time has released five clips discussing what is on his mind that particular weekday, as he juggles family life with working from home.

His child, along with his partner, also feature in the diary entries.

The videos mark Thank A Teacher Day, which is today - the national campaign aimed at encouraging people across the country to consider teaching as a career.
