Wigan Infirmary gives update on new ward construction

Construction on the new unit, called Bryn Ward, began just over a month ago in the car park at Wigan Infirmary. Contractors from The Darwin Group have been working around the clock to ensure that the new critical care unit is up and running in time for the start of May.
Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust bosses say that the 52-bed facility should be up and running by the end of the month.
They have released a new video in which Chris Knights, Deputy Director of Strategy and Planning, explains the final stages of the building process.
