BURGLARS filled their victim’s pickup truck with jewellery and household items before driving off with it in Tyldesley.

At about 9.30pm on Friday January 11, the house on Manchester Road was burgled. The intruders ransacked the house and stole a Macbook computer; an iPad; two Slam scooters; an Xbox; set of Bose speakers; two cameras; a Leatherman Multitool and cash.

They also stole the keys to the Nissan Navara parked outside, and filled it with items.

The emptied truck was found abandoned the following morning on Park Road, Westhoughton, Bolton.

PC Chris Waddicar said: “The victims have been left devastated by this burglary.

“This has been an invasion to their lives and we are determined to find the people responsible.

“While we are carrying out a number of inquiries, I urge any witnesses to call us. I would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity on Manchester Road, and we also need to hear from anyone who may have seen the pickup being abandoned.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7255 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
