Shaun Wane today faced the media for the first time since Wigan began investigating claims some of their players were involved in town centre trouble.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident at Xercise4less gym on Friday.
No arrests were made, but the Warriors have launched their own probe and may take disciplinary action if any players are found to have breached the club’s code of conduct.
They had spent the afternoon at Haydock racecourse before moving on to Wigan.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said that inquiries are ongoing, confirming that two men had entered the gym and that damaged had been caused to the building.
Journalists attending Wane’s regular, weekly press conference today were told the head coach would not be speaking about the issue.
Marketing director Simon Collinson said beforehand: “There is an internal investigation going on at the minute.
“As soon as it is completed we will issue a statement.”
