WIGAN Warriors stars turned Santa for the day to give poorly young patients a pre-Christmas boost.
The players took time out to donate festive selection boxes and spend some time with the children on Rainbow ward at Wigan Infirmary.
They chatted with the youngsters, signed autographs and gave each one of them a gift.
Prop forward Dominic Crosby said: “It is a privilege and an honour to come and spend time with the children on the ward.
“We hope that this experience has brought some festivity to the ward this Christmas time.”
Janine Stott, play specialist at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, added: “We are delighted that Wigan Warriors players made the effort to come and visit the children during the festive period.
“Visits like this are a perfect way of putting a smile on the faces of the kids and helping to take their mind off being poorly for a little while.”
