Wigan named as great place to find love

Wigan has been named as one of the top 25 places in the country to find love.

A mature dating website carried out research, tracking where migrating 40+ Londoners are going, revealing the UK’s top 25 most likely places to find love outside the capital.

Revealing where singles over 40 should go to stand the best chance of finding love, Older-Dating.co.uk’s research finds Birmingham at the top spot, with nearly 140,000 40+ singles residing in the city. Next comes Cheshire, with 136,797 singles over 40 dating in the area.

Wigan is placed a creditable 24th.

The South West is the most popular region for the 1.6 million migrating mature Londoners, with 28 per cent of leavers moving there after turning 40.

The South East is nearly as popular, gaining 17 per cent, and Scotland 16.
