Wigan school welcomes Korean visitors for educational project
Nicol Mere Primary School, in Ashton, hosted the international visit by 15 South Korean students, and gave them an insight into how children are educated in the UK.
The young Wiganers greeted the students with handmade welcome drawings, adorned with South Korean flags, before getting to know each other following a welcome talk.

Hide AdThey were given a tour of the school by Year Six pupils, and then spent a few minutes time with a class from each year group.
They also engaged in crafts and activities together, and learned about each other’s cultures and education systems. The visits take place every two years.
