WIGANERS of all ages dusted off their running boots and ran the Sport Relief mile over the sunny weekend.
Several events took part right across the borough, including miles at Robin Park and Leigh Sports Village.
Another, at Howe Bridge Sports Centre, took a badminton theme.
For the main runs, entrants didn’t have to be sporty to take part, and picked between a one, three or six-mile race knowing that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living unimaginably tough lives right here on our doorstep, across the rest of the UK and in some the world’s poorest countries.
