A woman who hit her partner round the head with an empty wine bottle has been given a suspended sentence,
Natalie Gallagher, 26, was sentenced yesterday, Tuesday, after pleading guilty to one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Wigan Magistrates Court heard how she had returned from a night out when she got into a fight with her partner Anthony Bolton and hit him with the bottle. She was arrested after phoning the police herself but the court heard Mr Bolton did not support the Crown’s case.
Gallagher, of Acacia Crescent, Wigan, was given 26 weeks’ jail suspended for 18 months, a 20-day rehabilitation activity order and 60 hours unpaid work. She was also told to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
